The Law of Expectation Matthew 8:13 says: As you have expected, so it shall be done for you. The Law of Expectation is a spiritual law that says what you expect (what you believe), good or bad, is what you receive. Consequently, it is critical that we believe the truth. This means we must renew our minds by identifying lies and replacing them with truth. We want to set forth a mechanism by which you can identify and destroy lies, while replacing them with God’s truth. Welcome to the 21-Day Challenge 1. Find out what lie you believe Ask God One lie at a time – what lie do I believe that is causing me problems God is a God of priorities. He will reveal to you the lie that He wants you to prioritize and deal with first. Listen – write it down 2. Find Out What God Says about it – His Truth Ask Him Wait silently for God = Listen (Psalm 62:5) Write it down 3. Meditate on what God says (Psalm 1:2) Meditate means Marinate As you meditate on what God says Listen for what else He will say Write it down. 4. Confess What God Says (Psalm 71:24) Confession in the Greek is homologeō Homo = Same Logos = Spoken Word Confession means say the same thing It means say the same thing God says Meditate and speak forth what God says off and, on all day. As you do this day after day, you will come to believe it It will become your expectation. And as you have expected, so it shall be done for you 5. Hold fast to what God says without wavering. (Hebrews 10:23) Cling to what God says and keep confessing it until you no longer waiver. Over the 21-days you find yourself firm in your new truth. Now it becomes your expectation. Now it is what you really believe. And the Law of Expectation says, as you have expected – so it shall be done for you. After 21 days – you can continue with God on this one particular lie that He showed you. Or you can seek Him to reveal to you another lie that He wants you to deal with and use the 21-day challenge on this one. Pastors Gary and Jean
